Our next competition dates is:
Sunday, August 24, 2025 – Caitlin Stewart Memorial Competition in Arnprior, ON – REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Please note: We will be suspending our June competition in 2025, since much energy will be directed into SDCCS 2025 in July. Our June event will return in 2026! In the meanwhile, please return all perpetual trophies from the OHDA June competition (contact ohdatrophyconvenor@gmail.com).

We are excited to announce that Ottawa Highland Dancing Association (OHDA) and the Arnprior Highland Dancing Association (AHDA) entered into an agreement in 2024 to transfer the administration and management of the Caitlin Stewart Memorial Competition to the OHDA. This competition is dear to many of us in the highland dancing community and the OHDA is very proud to be associated with this event. The Caitlin Stewart Memorial Competition is held annually on the last Sunday of August, at Robert Simpson Park in Arnprior ON. At the age of 11, Caitlin was in a fatal car accident. This competition was founded in 2000 in her memory, to help celebrate her spirit, and genuine love of dance. Caitlin’s mom, Renee, and highland teacher, Jan Oakes, will remain actively involved and we will look forward to Renee’s help at each competition! Please join us on August 24, 2025 at the Caitlin Stewart Memorial Competition! We are looking forward to seeing everyone!

OHDA will soon encourage membership renewals and accept new members for the 2025-2026 dance year. For those able to financially support the association, all of the regular options for OHDA membership are available at the usual rates. Additional financial donations will also be accepted and tax receipts issued accordingly.
